Buttery Herb Couscous

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons margarine
2 cloves garlic — finely chopped
1 medium green onion — chopped
2/3 cup couscous — uncooked
1 1/3 cups chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons fresh basil — chopped
or
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon fresh thyme — chopped
or
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Preparation:
Melt margarine in 2 quart nonstick saucepan over medium heat. Cook garlic and onion in margarine 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in broth and salt; heat to boiling. Stir in couscous; remove from heat. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Stir in basil, thyme, and cheese.
